Snippet 2 from The Beautiful Catastrophe WIP “Run Heifer Run!” #ASMSG

  • Hello my lovelies… Below is a Snippet from my current novel I’m editing, “The Beautiful Catastrophe”.

Why was I racing to my doom?

Because I was the Cat that ate the canary… I just had to know why?

I looked to the side at him, while we walked towards the elevator. “I am still not sure why you wish to spend time with me. I mean… obviously I offended you enough, you spanked me. Who does that?” I said as the elevator opened, and the older women inside just stare at me like I grew horns. “Thanked me—I mean thanked me.” Could my cheeks have felt any hotter?

He stepped out-of-the-way, and said, “Lovely evening ladies.” His charming smile could make any girl melt, and even these ladies seemed to be taken back by him. They walked away, and we rode the elevator upstairs.

“Good save, Ms. Sullivan. Nice color on your cheeks too.” I glowered at him, but the only sound I made was the stomping of my foot. The distance between us had closed, and I swallowed hard as my ass found the elevator wall. I blinked and stared up at him. “You didn’t offend me. I gave you options. You picked neither. I picked the one I wanted, simple as that. Precise and to the point.” He smirked at me again. Oh what I want to do to those lips!

Speechless. My mouth opened, but nothing came out.

His long nimble fingers pushed my chin back up, and he just shook his head. “Don’t want the flies to get in, hmm?” His voice was soft and smooth like butter. My eyes were set on his lips, and the way they pursed together. I know my subconscious was screaming—kiss me…kiss me you fool. However, my head was screaming—run heifer run!

So…A little Author commentary-

Catastrophe has been given her first spanking, and was totally confused because…O-M-G She liked it? Mr. E was his normal calm, cool, and smooth self, while poor Strophe wasn’t sure if she should run, or stay. Let’s just say her running shoes are never too far from her reach. Hope you enjoyed, as I continue editing, I will share a few more fun snippets.

Penelope Jones – Spanking it since 1996!

Ch. 4 NSLG: Eventually, I will say it.

My ticket out eventually, but for that moment I wrapped my arms around his broad shoulders, and I let him take me to my personal hell. Sven bathed, soothed, and even cooed at me a few times. He was like a completely different man. Maybe he knew that I couldn’t take much more mentally. Every time he would drag the cloth over the welts on my back, I cringed as if it were shards of glass. I don’t remember how many times he apologized, but I knew that was the turning point for us.

Sven laid me across the thin, crisp white sheets that reminded me of my grandmother’s spare bedroom. The smell even reminded me, very sanitary and bleached. That feeling and those smells soon were forgotten for a more manly scent of booze, and more muscular frame. He was atop me, and my deer in the headlight look was probably as perplexing to him as it was me. It was Sven, what was I scared about? It wasn’t the first time. And now knowing my fate, it surely wouldn’t be the last time either.

“I am sorry Jason did that to you, Sadiyah.” He whispered across my lips, and I pressed mine into his, and it was magical. Every kiss we shared before was forced, and for the most part unwelcome. That kiss was different, the passion overwhelmed me, and engulfed me so deeply I forgot about my wounds, and I closed the distance between us.

He broke the kiss long enough to request something, “Sadiyah, in the morning we need to talk, but for right now—let’s just pretend it’s just us, and nothing else matters?” Something I wasn’t sure I could do, but what choice did I really have?

He was my only chance.

I nodded my head, and he crushed his lips once more into mine, while his hands tweaked and tugged at my hardening nipples. My fingers scraped and clawed their way down his back, until reaching his ass. His hips pushed down into mine, the head of his cock made that familiar journey to the promise land. My guttural moans muffled by his demanding tongue that had me all aflame. My pussy ached by the time he slammed his cock into me, and my tight walls clamped down around him as if we were made for one another.

“Please don’t hurt me…” I gasped between Sven’s electrified kisses, only to be mewling the next moment, as he answered my request with thrust after thrust of his cock, deeper and further into me.

“You are mine Sadiyah— say it and I will make this all better. Say it!” He growled with that intensity a man gets just about the time he was going to blow his load, except that wasn’t why. It was because he truly had become my savior in that terrible mess of a life we were dumped, and I had someone on my side, finally. I answered at first with a melody of erotic cries and seductive words, and together we made love for hours.

We laid spent in that now, not so sanitary bed, and I whispered, “I’m yours, Sven. I’m yours.” Inching closer to him, and he cradled me into his arms, and once more he soothed and cooed at me just as he had in the bath. Tomorrow he would tell me the truth.

The Next Big Thing Blog Spot by @GPWriter #ASMSG

  • Hello my lovelies… I do hope everyone is having a fantastic day.  A few weeks ago, I was nominated for the Next Big Thing Blog Tour by George Pappas Monogamy Sucks  , I have yet to find time to actually write for this Tour… I’m not complaining, I’ve had a very exciting three weeks, honestly.
  • So… Instead of finding time to answer, which I don’t foresee coming anytime soon, I’ve decide to feature his blog post from the Tour here!
  • Without further ado… George Pappas Blog spot:

Am I publishing’s NEXT BIG THING?

Well, fellow author and sweet friend Shannon MacLeod seems to think so. She has tagged me as the NEXT BIG THING on Nai’lah Carter’s blog tour. Shannon is a cool author I met on Twitter. If you aren’t already, you should follow her at @themacleod.

The purpose of this promotion is to be able to discover new books you may not have heard about or for works that are still in progress. This is week 22 of the NEXT BIG THING blog tour.

So what what follows is the NEXT BIG THING interview — 10 questions about my writing, novels, etc. At the end of the interview, I will include links of authors I think will also be the NEXT BIG THING. Enjoy

What is the working title of your book?

Well, I actually have four books out right now on Amazon, including novels MONOGAMY SUCKS, DEAR HEF, an anthology INDULGENCE: TALES OF THE CIRQUE ROMANI, and my first novel LETTERS FROM CYBERSPACE. And I am finishing up the first draft of my sequel to MONOGAMY SUCKS that will focus on the topic of open relationships. I am hoping to have my sequel out in early to mid 2014.

Where did the idea come from for the book?

The ideas for my novels came from my own life and the lives of people I met or from close friends. Through writing we explore our true selves even if the characters are nothing like us. Our lives ultimately shape our words.

What genre does your book fall under?

Erotica. Or what I like to call real life erotica. One reviewer described my novels as “Tucker Max meets Sex in the City.” I think that is a pretty good description.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

I would say either Jason Schwartzman or Luke Wilson would make an interesting Jake Dalmas, the protagonist of MONOGAMY SUCKS, or Jimmy Rausch, the protagonist of DEAR HEF, if  movies or TV series were ever made of my novels.

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

Novel MONOGAMY SUCKS is a provocative peek behind the scenes of a Long Beach, Calif. man’s mid-thirties lust crisis and his ensuing sexy, intriguing, humorous journey into the swinging lifestyle.

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

Three of my novels — MONOGAMY SUCKS, DEAR HEF, INDULGENCE  have been published by digital publisher Lazy Day Publishing.  I published my first novel first novel LETTERS FROM CYBERSPACE.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

I started writing my novel Monogamy Sucks in March 1998, however, because of my fears and doubts that anyone would interested in my story, I kept my novel hidden in my computer for more than 12 years as I worked on many drafts. Early in 2009, I read an article on the Huffington Post about how a number of best selling books started out first as blogs. So I decided to launch my novel on a blog one chapter a time in May 2010. Several months later, digital publisher Lazy Day Publishing offered me a book deal. I seriously doubt if that would have happened if I hadn’t put my novel out in the blogosphere and tweeted about it on Twitter. I believe Twitter is an essential tool in promoting my books and novels, writing in general as is Facebook, blogs and the Internet overall.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

Charles Bukowki’s “Women,” Henry Miller’s “Tropic of Cancer,” Anais Nin’s “Henry and June,” to name a few.

Each of them bravely and uniquely explored controversial sexual and societal issues in a frank, unsentimental manner exposing truth and hypocrisy alike. I treasure novels that truly take me on a journey and challenge my preconceptions about life.

Who or What inspired you to write this book?

The two most influential books on me as a writer are Henry Miller’s “Tropic of Cancer” and Anais Nin’s “Henry and June.” Miller’s and Nin’s eagerness to explore erotic subjects in a serious way that were considered taboo at the time (1930s and 1940s) has always impressed me. Miller’s frank and brutal honest prose and Nin’s sensual, erotic and insightful diaries and description of her own sexual awakening have impacted my own writing. I say this humbly, but I view my novels MONOGAMY SUCKS and DEAR HEF as my attempts to write modern versions of Miller’s and Nin’s seminal novels. I would also have to mention Charles Bukowski’s novel WOMEN as having a huge impact on me. His honest prose and humor really impacted me. Bukowski, like Miller and Nin, went places most writers would avoid.

I wanted to write honest books about swinging, monogamy, sex, Internet sex, but leave in all the troubling, shocking and funny encounters most other erotica books leave out. Despite its explicit content, I don’t consider what I write erotica.  I call it real life erotica or reality fiction without the erotic trappings of your typical erotica novel. I want to make you think and laugh not just turn you on.

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

I hope you’re readers will take a chance and read my provocative noveland won’t be put off by the controversial content. They are really like no other modern novels they have read.  My books have some relevant and interesting things to say about sex, relationships and monogamy, and are an intriguing exploration of the male sexual mind. I think my novels appeal to both sexes, but really have seemed to have struck a chord among women, which was unexpected. Yes, my books are explicit, but I believe its themes are more universal than one might think.

You can find me on Twitter at @gpwriter.

I tweet a lot about my books, writing, sex and life.

Check out these amazing writers, who along with Shannon MacLeod, I believe could be the

WIP Mini Blog Hop: Go!

I was tagged by two Authors Adeline Raine and Thianna D in the Next Big Thing: Authors Tagging Authors…also known as the WIP Blog Hop. Thanks for the tag! I feel special … Two for the price of one! 😛

Here are the rules:

  • Give credit to the person/blog that tagged you
  • Post the rules for this hop
  • Answer these ten questions about your current WIP (Work In Progress) on your blog
  • Tag five other writers/bloggers and add their links so we can hop over and meet them
  • 1. What is the working title of your book?
  • The Beautiful Catastrophe
  • 2. What genre does the book fall under?
  • BDSM erotic romance with discipline and sexy spankings sprinkled throughout.
  • 3. Which actors would you choose to play your characters for the movie rendition?
  • Christian Bale would play Slade E. Masters ( better known in the book as Mr. E) Strong Dominant Personality

  • Marion Cotillard as Catastrophe Grace Sullivan Morgan ( better known in the book as Cat) Strong, witty submissive woman with sexy appeal that could stop train.

  • 4. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
  • Threat of death, morality, and punishment cannot keep two people from they’re destiny of  happily ever after.
  • 5. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
  • I have a couple of publishers I wish to look into for my book, but I’m highly considering self-publishing a few anthologies by the end of the year, and testing the waters.
  • 6. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
  • 4 months ( 2 books…190,000 cut down to one book.)  140,000 right now, and editing still UGH! (I’m a writer, not an editor, lol)
  • 7. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
  • Simililarities in these books below, but it’s my unique writer’s voice that makes it very different, I hope:
  • Bared to You: A CrossFire Novel
  • Fifty Shades of Gray
  • 8. Who or what inspired you to write this book?
  • I read Collen Hoover’s books Slammed and Point of No Retreat. Long story short, I have aspired to write forever, but never did seriously until reading these two books. They’re love and emotion on a page, and I wanted to do that.
  • I wanted to write love on paper, and scream erotica from the roof-tops with words. All the while, bringing my chosen lifestyle into as well, and show romance’s in the eye of the beholder. The heart decides what’s romantic, not society.
  • 9. What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
  • Towards the last half of the book, you will find out something very interesting about Catastrophe’s father and his girlfriend! Let’s just say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to ‘lifestyle’ choices.
